Time Of Our Lives

It is interesting how much we do not see from a person unless we're very close to them, isn't it? :)

Recently I watched a documentary about personality and in that documentary they spoke about being a leader and what leadership means.

I think to this day it is hard for scientists and psychologists to agree exactly what personality means and how to define it. Perhaps that is also the reason we sometimes find it so difficult to understand ourselves and know why we do the things that we do.

I think a good example of what I mean by that can be seen in a TEDx video of Scott Schwefel who was explaining different types of personalities.

Now, to be honest. I really don't like TEDx videos much or similar formats. I know that they are a good source for inspiration for many people, but for me personally, I've always looked for inspiration within my thoughts, feelings and ideas. Hence the reason I started this blog...

Anyway, the example given in the video was with the word "Silk" . So you see the word "Silk" and then the question is "What do cows drink?" and automatically most people replied "Milk" , although cows drink water. And this kind of behavior from our brains is pretty much how we act through out life most of the time...

Which sounds a bit disappointing, right?

To think that you're mostly driven by so many emotions and habits which you're not even aware of or at least not completely.

And by sharing these stories from yesterday with you folks, I just wanted to give you an example of what kind of illusions we might be living in and how much pressure we put on ourselves for no reason...

Also, I shared those stories, because to some extend I can relate partly to both. And I feel like maybe some of you managed to relate to those traits as well. And there's nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make you less authentic of a person than the people who prefer to keep these things to themselves. In fact, maybe it helps you become at peace with yourself much easier and faster, because you're sharing how you feel - at least to yourself.

So to sum up the main idea from everything writen so far in this post and others:

Don't waste time in self-doubts and thoughts of what others might think about you. Surround yourself with people who genuinely like you as a person. Who are honest with you and make you show the best sides of yourself. I've got the best friends in the world! And my family, regardless of what we've went through, has always been here for me! So learn to be yourself - figure out what your purpose is. Take it easy, believe in yourself and open up to the world! Don't hide in a bubble, don't hide under a mask. Let your heart out and go for yours, because dream come true. All of this sounds cliche, all of this you've heard a 1000 times. Now you've heard it from me too...and I can tell you without regrets, it feels good to be yourself. And I've got a long way to go, because I have endless dreams! And I'm sure you do too...so what are you waiting for?

 P.S. I started learning guitar finally :D , let's see how far I'll go...

Good luck to everyone tomorrow! I know I'll need it...

I have everyone's favorite class - 文語...
